Shai Fuxman
Direct of the Social, Emotional, and Behavioral Academy
Shai Fuxman, a mental and behavioral health expert, leads initiatives promoting the positive development of children and youth at the Education Development Center. He has extensive experience in social and emotional learning (SEL) and school-based mental-health supports. Through his leadership of the Massachusetts Social, Emotional, and Behavior Academy, Dr. Fuxman provides training and coaching to help the state’s schools and districts promote students’ SEL and mental health well-being through the Multi-Tiered System of Supports approach. For the Regional Educational Laboratory Northeast and Islands, he has provided coaching and technical assistance to states and districts as they apply the Multi-Tiered System of Supports framework to school-based mental health. He holds an EdD from Harvard University.
