Selin Akgun

Research Assistant

Selin Akgun is a Ph.D. student at Michigan State University working as a research assistant in the Multiple Literacies in Project-Based Learning (ML-PBL) project at CREATE for STEM Institute. As a part of the ML-PBL team, she works with third-grade elementary school teachers. Selin’s research focuses on supporting elementary students in sensemaking of phenomena. She is also interested in the role of culture, social context, and multiple identities in students’ experiences on science learning.
