Laura Petillo

Pre-K Teacher

Laura Petillo, Ed.D., is a teacher, author, and administrator with a passion for early childhood education. Currently, Dr. Petillo is the music programs manager for the Count Basie Center for the Arts in Red Bank, New Jersey. In 2020, she received the Excellence in Music Education award, and won the 2020 Scholarship Exhibition in Proposed Research from Monmouth University. She has over 10 years of experience in preschool and prekindergarten as well as music education grades K–12. Dr. Petillo’s research interests include literacy, social and emotional learning, music education, and musicology.
