Kristin Rearden
Professor of Science Education
Kristin Rearden supports aspiring elementary and science teachers at the University of Tennessee Knoxville. She credits the influence of her father’s innovative research as a chemist and her mother’s sharp journalism skills as an English teacher for her career in science education and appreciation of high-quality science picture books. She has collaborated on science literacy projects with her friend and literacy educator, Amy Broemmel, for nearly two decades.
