Katie Mitchell
Special education leader
Dr. Katie Mitchell is a special education leader with experience teaching students in all 13 disability categories of IDEA. Katie currently serves as an assistant director of special education for a public school district, as well as an adjunct professor of graduate-level courses for special education finance and legal issues, and as a special education leadership consultant. Katie is a fierce advocate for equitable access and learning environments that ultimately support individualized student success. Through her visionary collaboration and relentless problem-solving approach, she supports school administrators and special education staff to prevent burnout and increase student achievement.
