Kate Lafferty Márquez is the manager of multilingual content development with Children’s Literacy Initiative. She is a former bilingual early literacy coach and K–5 Spanish immersion teacher and earned her master’s degree in second language education from Chestnut Hill College. She is also the parent of two young multilingual learners.
