Elissar Gerges
Science Education Specialist
Elissar Gerges is a university instructor and head of science department with more than 10 years of experience in K–12 education. She holds a Doctor of Education in educational leadership, K–12, from Western University, Canada, a Master of Education in curriculum studies and teacher development from the University of Toronto, and a Master of Science in education from Walden University.
She is a strong advocate for science media literacy so that all students, as active citizens, can critically evaluate science in the media in order to make informed decisions.
