Alissa Alteri Shea is an instructional coach at a K-6 elementary school in Vernon, Vermont. She began her teaching career while working with the Jesuit Volunteer Corps in New York City. After teaching kindergarten at PS 257 in the Bronx, she went on to receive her MA in early childhood education from Bank Street College, and she is also a Montessori-trained educator. After many years as a classroom teacher, she is now partnering with her colleagues to support teachers and improve student learning. Her favorite place to be with students is outside in nature, inspiring them to learn from the world around them.
